rjd2 “We Are The Doorways”
I was inspired to build a website for rjd2′s latest album “We Are The Doorways” so that fans could submit their visual or audio accompaniments to the album tracks. The project runs until April 1st, 2011 and fabulous prizes will be awarded.
Interactive Learning Application for Kids (code name: Ube)
I’m working on this project with two other women. I’m working on business strategy, feature development and some of the coding.
A smartphone and tablet application that allows children and their parent or caretaker to interact with an on-screen character to learn about anatomy, colors, math, music and language. An accompanying doll mimics the onscreen character to provide the comfort and tactile learning experience by interacting with a real toy.
Children born today are exposed to all manners of media devices and as young as 6 months of age can interact with smartphones and tablet devices. When Children are exposed to these devices, they do not always understand the context between the application they are interacting with and real-life objects that they can touch and feel.
Children can interact with the character on-screen as well as the real doll and learn through onscreen education and off-screen haptics, how the two relate to each other.
Parents and caretakers are encouraged to engage with the child to explain how the onscreen character and the real doll and it’s tactile experiences relate.
